The Ross Cup is an annual print competition organised by the Kent County Photographic Alliance (KCPA), and is open to all member clubs. The competition involves submission of 8 prints by those clubs that want to participate. BHPS enter this competition each year, along with about 30 other Kent (and oddly, Sussex) clubs. I'm not sure if BHPS has ever won this trophy but I know that we came pretty close on a couple of occasions, and individuals’ prints within our club have done very well. DPI's are required for projection so that the audience can see all entries on the presentation day, when the overall winners are announced.
Prints that have scored well (20 or 19) in club competitions are considered for entry by the selection committee. However, if you have a print that has not yet been in one of our own competitions but you think would do well, please let me have it so that the selection committee can decide whether to include it in our entry this year. The rules for the competition can be read on the KCPA website via this link:

Update from Roger Stevens! BHPS has won the Ross Cup on 3 previous occasions since 1951 - in 1965, 1966 and 1991. Maybe it's about time we won it again!!
